Lego Star Wars minifigures

Being in the crazy fellow chasing after this line. Started few month ago, and now trying to get hold as much different figure as possible. It is not a easy toy to collect, as this line already being in a while in the market and the collector are growing fast. Many Lego Star Wars character become hard to find and price keep increasing.

Found more most collector like to collect trooper to build army.

But I like to collect different type of characters. Its going to take alot of time and money to get the character I wanted, but after playing with it for a while, I think Lego Star Wars worth the effort.

Repair – Transformers G1 Dinobot, Sludge leg

When a vintage toy broken, our heart also broken. As it rare and so hard to find. It is a normal case, because item do wear and tear due to time. But in most of the case, it can be repair.

A friend of mine own a piece of vintage Transformers G1 Dinobot Sludge, and during the transformation, he accidentally broken the leg. It was a clean break and a glue (whether super glue or epoxy) will not help.

And so, this is what I have done to repair it. First I glue the broken part together with epoxy glue. This is temporally to hold the piece together.

And here come the difficult part. I drill a small hole and link on the glue part, in order to insert a wire to strengthen it. The wire its cut from paper clip. Its done on two side.

And then, again I apply epoxy glue to the wire and hole to close up all the gap. Please take note that epoxy glue need to take at least 2 days to strengthen.

And here after its once. Work perfectly and transformation without any problem.

Then you can use black marker to color it.

Keeping and Displaying Lego minifigures

I know that Lego officially does come out their own display casing to display the Lego minifigures. But I think its kinna expensive, it cost about RM 100 ++ for the case which hold up not more then 20 figures.

Here I found some very reasonable price casing which might work as good.

This case hold up individual minifigure and up to 18 units. Got it from Tesco and cost only RM 7.90! Although the plastic its not fully transparent (its bit blurry transparent type), yet you can see the figure nicely. I buy alot to keep each series I have

And for display, I got this plastic display from Daiso for only RM 5 each. And if you put it nicely, it can hold up to 15 units of minifigures. And not to mention each box can be stack on top of each other. But you have to put in the base in order for the figure to stand.
